San Rafael, CA: It’s not uncommon to see major performance manufacturers supporting local tracks and grassroots racing today, but it wasn’t always as easy for weekend warriors to get support from the industries’ leading manufacturers. For nearly two decades, Leading Locking Fastener manufacturer and Performance Industry heavyweight, Stage 8 Locking Fasteners has been supporting the Contingency Connection Racer Rewards and Engine Professional Rewards programs, giving thousands of dollars in free or discounted product to thousands of racers on a budget nationwide. Their tenacious support of grassroots racing through programs like Contingency Connection is an important part of the overall success of the Northern-California company, according to founder Bruce Bennett. “We have always known how paramount the weekend warriors are to the performance industry as a whole,” Bennett said. “Those are the guys out there every week with a true passion for motorsports. He added that Contingency Connection has proven to be a great partner to help do just that. “There’s just no better way to reach that many racers on a grassroots level on a consistent basis.” The program reaches approximately 18,000 racers per week, at more than 50 tracks and series, hosting 1500 events nationwide, according to Contingency Connection’s Jackie Ressa. Sponsors of the Racer Rewards program are included in the coveted product certificate books given out to first and second place winners at each event, plus track signage, public address commercial announcements, and decals on thousands of racecars. “Stage 8 has been a great and valued partner with us over the past 17 years,” Ronnie Ball of Contingency Connection said. “They have really put their money where their mouth is and continued to show their support of local and grassroots racing.” For more information on Contingency Connection, visit www.contingencyconnection.com. Team Z Motorsports answers the call with their new adjustable 9” housing Taylor, MI: Premier performance manufacturer Team Z Motorsports recently released a 9” Fox Body housing and it’s changed the game. So what’s all the hype about? Two words: Adjustable mounts. The new Team Z 9” housing features adjustable upper and lower control mounts to ensure racers are getting the hardest and most consistent launches… every pass. “On many aftermarket 9-inch housings, as you begin to lower the car and the upper control arms are in the location that they end up on a 9″, what most often becomes the case is a very short instant center in the car” Dave Zimmerman, founder of Team Z Motorsports explained. “That tends to cause a car to hook well in the first 20 to 30 feet of the racetrack, but once the power begins to come in, it’ll unload the chassis due to both the short instant center and the high anti-squat value.” And when you’re looking for optimal performance, adjustability is key. “The geometry on the upper control arms in our new housing is ideal. We have multiple pickup points on the top, and most 9-inch housings out there don’t have the correct pickup points. With the multiple pickup point options, you can raise or lower the car, and while no one would ever raise it, if you lower the car, you have the ability to adjust the upper control arms. And the same goes for the lower control arms as well – we have four pickup points on the lowers for adjustability.” So once you’ve stopped drooling, get over to www.teamzmotorsports.net or call 734-946-7223. For racers, by racers: Team Z Motorsports.

Being now part of the global Oetiker Group, I see many growth opportunities for our products, especially in Europe and Asia”, says Steve Zillig, former owner and CEO of Jiffy-tite Group. “Furthermore, as family owned companies, both Jiffy-tite and Oetiker share a tradition of entrepreneurship and many common values and attributes, which makes Oetiker even more of an ideal partner for Jiffy-tite.” “The acquisition of Jiffy-tite aligns perfectly with our long-term strategy to be a global leader for high-end connecting solutions in the vehicle industry” says Thomas Meier-Bickel, CEO of Oetiker Group. “Jiffy-tite’s highly engineered, application focused products, especially its quick connects, are an optimal complement to our clamping portfolio, resulting in a broader offering of connecting solutions for a wider range of applications to our automotive customers.” Paramax Securities, LLC (a subsidiary of Paramax Corporation), acted as exclusive advisor to the Jiffy-tite Group and ZETRA International to the Oetiker Group in this transaction.
