Kooks Introduces Shorty Headers For 2009-2018 RAM Pickups

The new Torque Series is as a factory manifold replacement with performance gains for the street.

STATESVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA: Tight truck engine bays are no match for new Torque Series Shorty Headers from Kooks Headers and Exhaust, now available for 2009-2018 RAM 1500 applications.

Torque Series provides a solution for customers looking for a factory manifold replacement with a performance gain for street-driven pickups. The new RAM application (part no. 35101110) fits 5.7L HEMI engines and is designed to be used with factory catalytic converters. Connections to retain the function of the factory EGR system, when applicable, are included.

“RAM 1500 trucks are some of the most popular on the market,” said George Kook Jr, CEO, Kooks. “We are always researching and developing new solutions for a variety of applications, and our new RAM 1500 shorty headers are a testament to the ingenuity and innovation Kooks has been known for since 1962.”

When bolted onto the 5.7L HEMI, the Torque Series headers flatten the torque curve to produce an increase of 25+ horsepower at 5500 RPM and 40+ lb-ft of torque at 4100 RPM over the stock manifolds when measured at the tire. The peak numbers show an increase close to 25+ horsepower and 15+ lb-ft of torque.

The headers are made from high-quality, 304-grade stainless steel with 3/8" thick flanges; heavy-duty, 16-gauge primary tubes that step from 1-5/8" to 1-3/4"; Kooks patented scavenging spikes; and one- piece collectors.

The headers features 3/8"-thick, two-bolt flanges and formed balls to connect to the OEM exhaust, allowing for a direct bolt-on installation. Kits include installation hardware and required gaskets.
